“Classic Contemporary with a Tech element” was the remit for this gorgeous Georgian home in Stockbridge which underwent a complete renovation, including a full rewire, the conversion of a pink toile dressing room into a sophisticated en-suite and a shower room into a smaller cloakroom to allow for a seating area in the kitchen. Philips Hue smart lighting was incorporated, a smart fridge freezer in the kitchen and a home office/man cave with bespoke joinery to house tech, games and gadgets along with a traditional chesterfield for sitting back and enjoying a whisky. A veritable bachelor pad but one which remains sympathetic to the Georgian architectural features and which exudes timeless elegance and sophistication.

“I bought a classic two bedroom Georgian Edinburgh flat in Stockbridge, Edinburgh and I brought Jane in to both do the Interior Design and also project manage the whole project. The initial interview helped me articulate what I was looking for, I was very keen to keep the original features and bring out the classic look but update it with modern convenience and technology. Getting the two to work together was a real challenge but Jane got what I was looking for straight away. The end result does exactly what I wanted and she has done an amazing job of getting the look to flow through the rooms so the flat feels like a whole and not a set of individual rooms. Jane has an incredible eye for detail, provides a great range of options and constantly evolved and refined the design as I started to get a better idea of what I wanted. The end result is something that not only looks amazing but feels very personal. I can not recommend her highly enough.”
